The Magic of Spring Flower Club
Every spring, the ranunculus come first. Then the tulips. Then the poppies, and the lilies, and the callas, and the delphinium.
Once a year, we open our Spring Flower Club: four prepaid bouquets, picked up biweekly in March and April at a local business near you. It’s the only way to get our spring blooms before market season opens, the pampered elite spring flowers that grow for a few short weeks and disappear before most people even know they’re here.
These are the flowers we’re most proud of. The ones that make people stop mid-sentence when they see them. The ones we wait all year to grow.
Here’s a quick day-in-the-life of a Spring Flower Club member, in case you’re having trouble visualizing it.
On Friday, members get an email reminding them that tomorrow is pickup day. On Saturday, a text arrives as soon as the bouquet has landed at the pickup spot, and members swing by to grab it. Sunday brings an email with behind-the-scenes info about what’s in the bouquet, flower tips, and more. Then, from Monday through the next Friday, they simply enjoy their spring blooms until it’s time to pick up the next one.
We open enrollment each winter, and it always fills up faster than we expect. If you’ve never done it before, keep an eye out this fall for when it opens back up. It’s one of our favorite parts of the whole year, and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
